Telstra Calling for Office 365
Finally, with the release of Telstra Calling for Office 365 (TCO365), Australia has access to the complete stack of Office 365. Whether you hate Telstra or love them, they do have one of the best core sip capable backbones in Australia. This has lead them to work alongside Microsoft to finally bring this missing piece to Australia.
There are a couple of components which customers require from Microsoft to first enable your tenancy for Cloud Phone System (previously Cloud PBX). Firstly, you must be on Enterprise type SKU or running a Skype for Business Plan 2.

Once we have the Microsoft licensing sorted, its time to choose the suitable Call Plan from Telstra. Telstra has three types of call plans, Standard, Essentials and Premium. My recommendation for a fixed budget solution is to go for the Premium, as this includes Unlimited local, National, Long Distance and Calls to Mobiles.

Now we have now selected the suitable Microsoft Licensing and chosen our Call Plan, the next blog post will look at some of the functionality of the Cloud Phone system with Microsoft Teams.

Nice post Bryton – it is exciting to have Telstra and Microsoft leading the way in Australia, and your easy to understand diagrams for licencing options are perfect.
